Rumors about the marketing of a new smartwatch by Apple are more than many and has even been pointed out the month of October as a possible release date for iWatch.
Now, to a certain extent, it can be said that Apple is itself to reinforce these rumors with a new patent application to the United States Patent and Trademark Office of a modular smartwatch named iTime.
Now there are certainties of Apple’s intentions in launching a new wearable device. And contrary to what already exists in the market, namely the new Android Wear available, this will be a device in modules.
ITime, as referred to in the patent, will be a smart watch whose display, much like the iPod Nano 6th generation, fits into a wide bracelet that may include a series of sensors to collect information about the user.
ITime can be fully functional without the bracelet, such as an iPod, for storage and playback of multimedia content, and when connected to the bracelet many other functions can be activated.
The inclusion of various sensors, namely motion recognition and facial recognition, connectivity such as Bluetooth and NFC for perfect communication with the iPhone, will be some of the features that may be included in this new equipment.
It is not known if this will be the smartwatch from Apple, or if it will be launched already in October an equipment in the same line as those already on the market and later the iTime modular. But with this patent the brand of the apple shows that it will certainly stand out from the competition.
